Norman Teeling is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. He received a Degree in Art and his teaching credential. He taught Art in many colleges in Dublin for over 12 years. In 1985 he resigned from his teaching profession to become a background artist and animator in the booming Animation industry, headed by Don Bluth Studios. Norman worked as a background artist on two feature films produced by Don Bluth Studios. He was also a background artist for Fred Woolf films, who produced many successful T.V. series including "Ninja Turtles", "Zorro" and "Sinbad the Sailor".

As an accomplished artist Norman has held solo exhibitions in many of Dublin's top art galleries. Norman's work is currently on display in various Gallerys throughout Ireland.

Commissioned in 1998, Norman has ten oil paintings on permanent display in the General Post Office (G.P.O.) that depict the events surrounding "The 1916 Rising" on O'Connell Street Dublin.

Norman created a cartoon strip that was published over a six-year period by the Irish Press. He has done work for Ireland's National Television Station (R.T.E.) and had his creation "Fearless Film" produced for "Childrens T.V." Dublin. He has published two books of cartoons "Irish Brew" and "Sloth", and also completed set designs for "The Gate" and "Tivoli" Theatres in Dublin.

In 1996 he spent many months in Norway to develop the first animated feature film "Gurin and the Foxtail". He worked for Lightspan, a top computer game company in Los Angeles, California. He has also produced work for several animation studios in Germany and Italy.

Norman's interest outside of art is music. Norman is an accomplished guitarist having performed both professionally over a span of 38 years
